Researchers in the psychology department at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) have discovered a major difference in the way men and women respond to stress. Women began to be included in stress research since a new law in the United States in 1995. Psychological research has maintained that both men and women have the same fight or flight reaction of stress and women have another reaction.could be called tend or befriend. In reacting/ responding to stress, people with high levels of oxytocin are calmer or less anxious. Besides, related with everyday behavior, women are far more likely than men to seek social contact when they are feeling stressed.one of studies analyzed show how fathers and mothers included in study responded differently when they came home after work.  In addition, after the death of her husband, the women who has closed friends are more likely to survive without a negative effect to their health or feeling. Therefore, in responding stress, women have a lower incidence of stress-related disorders.
